Intercultural Communication 1,1,1,1
Description:
In the intercultural communication
field, direct experience is recognized as the most effective way to develop
supportive attitudes, skills, and knowledge by exposing participants to their
own and others' affective responses, as well as alternative perspectives. While
culture is dynamic, with great diversity within, as well as between, cultures,
focused exploration of even a single aspect of communication can build a strong
foundation for insight into a variety of cultural patterns. In this 1-week course, we will
explore 1 intercultural
communication concept through an experiential learning approach that
includes 1 reading and 1 assignment.
