As its website explains, "The Learning Partnership is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing together business, education, government, labour, policy makers and the community, to develop partnerships that strengthen public education in Canada": http://www.thelearningpartnership.ca/

Nominations are now being invited for their 2006 National Technology Innovation Award for innovative and creative use of technology in such areas such as blended learning environments, knowledge transfer, organizational learning, professional development and/or the needs of special education students.  http://tlp.td01.com/innovation_2006/

As someone who hasn't been attending the eLearn conference this year (but who lives just a few blocks away) it has been very interesting to read opinions, and look at the pictures. Today at the Rendezvous will also be the third time I've met up with people in the bar!  It's Sylvia's fault :-)

See you all later, Liz

I'm looking forward to hearing about your work, John, and to being with people who have depth and breadth of experience in building community. I'm conscious, too, that some of the people who have been attracted to the Rendezvous by this SCoPE community site may be generalists, as I am, and may only feel comfortable "lurking" and listening. I think I may put up my 10 minutes on eBay:-)

Glad that SFU is supporting you to go to the whole eLearn conference, Sylvia. I know that everything you see and hear will benefit us all eventually.

It's always good to spend time with you, and because I live downtown, I can walk over and hook up with you and others at your convenience. There are so many choices of places to meet and eat that it's a bit mind-boggling, but for the convenience of all, perhaps the Wall restaurants are the best bet?
