Best Practices for Incorporating AI Tools in Online Course Design?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on redesigning an asynchronous online course for a post-secondary program, and I’ve been exploring how to integrate AI tools (like ChatGPT or similar) in a meaningful, pedagogically sound way. The goal is to enhance engagement and provide more adaptive learning experiences without losing the instructor's presence.

I’m wondering if anyone here has tried using AI in their course delivery or design — specifically:

  • What tools have you used and in what context?

  • How did students respond to the AI integration?

  • Were there any ethical or accessibility concerns you had to address?

  • Do you recommend any guidelines or frameworks to follow when adding AI to online learning environments?

I’d love to hear any experiences, insights, or even challenges you've encountered. Also, if you’ve seen good examples of this in action, please feel free to share links or resources!

Looking forward to the discussion.

Thanks,
