Experience 6: LMS - What Does an AOD Mean to You?

This AOD will be hosted on this LMS's (Moodle)'s native discussion forum. BUT... we will have this discussion in three medium - text, audio, and video.

Prompt: What does an asynchronous online discussion mean to you? When you think about AOD, what comes to your mind and your heart?

Your post will be either in text, voice (audio recording), or video, depending on your first name. If your first name begins with the letter:

A through H (e.g., Barbara), you will post your response in text
I through P (e.g., Manuel), you will post your response in audio
Q through Z (e.g., Rahul), you will post your response in video

We are doing this (text, audio, video) for two reasons.

To gain experience of using the LMS's ability to post different media
To experience the strengths and drawbacks of different media when perusing our peers' posts.

Response: Once you have made your post, review three peer's posts (one in each format - text, audio, and video). Choose one to respond to. You can respond in the format of your choosing (text, audio, or video - giving you a chance to try a format you didn't get to try when making your original post). Your reply should empathize and ADD to the original post. Think of it as an improvisation rule of "YES, AND..." So choose a post that echoes with what an AOD mean to you, acknowledge what was said in the post, and then add an extra layer to that, deepening what was said. For example, if one person said that what AOD means to them is that it's a way for peers to broaden their perspectives with others' views, your post may acknowledge that this is what it means to you as well, and add that this needs to be handled purposefully by asking participants to share their experiences and background in the posts.
