1. SCoPE Seminar: Developing a National Framework of Teaching Expectations in Higher Education
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
March 2 - 22, 2009
Facilitators: Gary Hunt and Vivian Neal
Has the time come for a made-in-Canada accreditation program for post-secondary teaching? During this seminar, we invite you to share your experiences from all countries - those that have developed standards and credentialing requirements for teaching in higher education, and those who are considering them. Through the exploration of the theoretical and pragmatic issues of implementing credentialing programmes, we hope to come up with a set of best practices and a framework design that may be suitable for a wide range of programmes with similar goals.
Live Session: This seminar will kick off with a presentation and discussion in Elluminate on Tuesday, March 3 at 11:00 PST, 19:00 GMT (see world clock).
SCoPE Seminar: Open Educational Resources
January 19 - February 8, 2009
Facilitator: Scott Leslie
The 3-week seminar on Open Educational Resources was very well attended and lively. The seminar was loosely organized around finding, creating, and sharing OERs, with ample room for interesting tangents and questions. It wrapped up with our imagined ideal future for OERs. The forum archive includes a link to the Elluminate session in various formats and the seminar wiki.
