When using a headset with an attached microphone, in addition to a webcam with a built in microphone, it is sometimes necessary to override your computer's sound settings to properly sync the sound device to Adobe Connect. These instructions may or may not apply for all situations, and are based on a Windows operating system. If unfamiliar with making changes to your compuer, or if you require administrative access to change your computer's configuration, you should consult with your institution's technical support before proceeding.

Step 2: Connecting a Headset With a Built-in Microphone to Your Computer

When first connecting a headset with (or without) a built in microphone to your computer, you may (or may not) be asked a series of prompts in enable the device. If you are unfamiliar with connection peripheral devices to your computer, or if you require administrative access to change your computer's configuration, you should consult with your institution's technical support. Once you have installed the device you can then proceed to step 3.
