You will need two things to complete this section:
Both of these items will be supplied by the administrator in your department. After the software is installed on your computer, you will likely have a shortcut to the software on your desktop.
In the future, each time you want to edit one of your webpages, you can open the software by double clicking on the icon. To edit and create pages, see part two.
The administrator for the website you wish to work on should have given you a key to enable you to connect to their website and make changes. You cannot unlock the website without it!
A contribute connection key is a key that opens certain parts of the website to you. It may give you editing access to certain pages of the website, or it my give you a different level of access (publisher vs. content writer).
Your key will look like this:
Double clicking on the key will open Contribute© and ask you for more details:
Type in your name and email address.
The departmental administrator should have also given you a connection key password. Insert your password and click OK.
Remember, you only have to do this setup once.
Now you need to type in your SFU Computing ID and Password

PC Users will see this box appear:
All this means is that you are going from a secure authentication environment to a non-secure website. Which means you’re looking at web pages the way you usually do. Don’t worry. Click ‘Yes’ and continue on.
After you click Yes, then Contribute will open to its home page:
This may be your first introduction to this environment. Note that the homepage
offers you access to tutorials, a quick tour, and plenty of "How Do I..." links.
Take time to explore!
