You will remember that on Day 1, we captured what we already Knew about AOD (K), and what we Wanted to know (W) on the Experience 3: CANVA - KWL of AOD. Let's end this FLo MicroCourse by capturing what we Learned (L). Since Canva is (admittedly) a bit clunky and also to showcase another whiteboarding tool, we will use Dotstorming as the platform to capture our Learning.

The Task

Consider your journey in this FLO MicroCourse for the past week, what you have learned through the experience of designing or participating in AODs, through exploring the resources, or through engaging with one another in conversations. What is one take away for you? This is the Learned (L) aspect of the KWL framework.

The Post

You will share our reflections on Dotstorming, a whiteboard tool specializing in supporting dotmocracy or dotmocracy activities. If you would like to learn more about these types of group activities, follow the links in the previous sentence.

  1. SITE. Go to our dotstorming website: https://dotstorming.com/b/65db9ca7bbcf8b05c42d7112
  2. Name. Enter your first name to participate.
  3. Add your Learned (L). Think of what you most take away from this FLO MicroCourse. Click on Add a Card at the top right. This will open a form where you can type what your take away is. When you are done typing, click Add to add it to the group's take aways. The sticky notes ("cards") will be added anonymously.
  4. Read. The cards/sticky notes posted by others.
  5. Vote. You have 3 votes to award. You should give a "dot" (a vote) to those Take Aways that most resonate with your own experience of the course. This will help to identify what most people found insightful in this course. You can award 3 votes to one card if you feel strongly about it and want to boost its standing. Just stick on the dot (empty circle) at the bottom three times. Or, you can distribute your votes among cards. You can vote for your own as well.

Here is a video showing how you can add a card and vote on the dotstorming platform.
