In this video Beth Cougler Blom reminisces about a very impactful educational experience.

We hope you will be as inspired by this FDO activity as Beth was in her course with Dan Pratt many years ago!

Here are the steps:

1. Review the Online Facilitation -- Skills and Strategies Compiled List

2. Take a tour through the FDO-FLO Sandbox, while keeping these questions in mind:

  • Which items in the Skills and Strategies list resonate for you?
  • Which ones do you think are "must do's"?
  • Is there anything missing from this list that you think is important to add?
  • Where in FLO would you plan to demonstrate some of these skills? (Think about times that might be 'in plain view' of all participants or 'behind the scenes' with one or more participants only)
  • Who will demonstrate them? You as a FLO Facilitator? The Facilitation Team Members?

3. Develop a simple checklist or visual schedule with points where you think you or your FLO participants could model a skill, articulate a strategy, or share an insight.

4. Post your creation here: Gallery: Our Facilitation Skills and Strategies Mashup

5. See an entry from your colleagues that grabs your attention or that you have questions about? Use the comment tool to post.

Meta Note: We are using the Moodle Glossary Tool for our Gallery. While the original intention of this tool was to collect definitions, it is useful for a variety of purposes.
