Hello everyone. My name is Daina Moore and I am so excited to learn more about rubrics this week! I have started using a rubric in one of the courses I teach in the Health Care Assistant program at Capilano University. I started my career in 1999 as an EFL/ESL instructor in Nagoya, Japan. When I returned to Canada in 2004, I decided to enter nursing because the job prospects for elementary school teachers were not so great (at that time). I am always looking for ways to stretch myself and grow as a teacher, so I hope to take more FLO courses in the future. Autumn is my favorite season. While I enjoy summer, I often am a wilted flower in the heat. So, this is my time of year now that the heat has disappeared. And I enjoy pumpkin-spice everything! I hope that everyone enjoys the course. Daina |
