FORUM: Week 3 Assignment
Post 3: Your Tool Pitch
Due: Friday, February 28th
Scenario:
Canada University has recently developed an initiative to make their online faculty Orientation to Teaching Online more engaging and include more collaborative and peer-based activity. The course has been developed a number of years ago and the main focus is still on completing the course readings and assignments, with very little emphasis placed on collaboration or interaction between the participants.
You have been tasked with creating a description of an online tool that could be used to enhance collaboration and interaction in the course. The completed description will be used to inform the Orientation to Teaching Online decision regarding tool selection.
Student Tasks:
- Explore the online learning tool that you have selected. This might include hands-on exploration, online research or reflecting on your practice. Use the questions below as a guide.
- Using a new thread in FORUM: Week 3 Assignment, post a short assessment of the tool making sure to touch on some of the areas below. Your pitch can be in any form, including written posts, screencasts and video. To be really creative, use your tool to make your pitch.
- Take a few minutes to read/view and/or reply to other threads with comments or questions.
