Many campuses and support units have special programs in place to ensure success of Aboriginal learners, recognizing that a supportive environment will contribute to a positive educational experience. However, online delivery of courses specifically targeting Aboriginal learners is relatively new and is on the increase. The question of what this means in terms of course design, instructional strategies, and building supportive learning communities, remains a challenge to many instructors.

- research best practices in developing and implementing online learning opportunities for aboriginal learners,
- develop a resource website that will support these instructors and curriculum designers, and
- support dialogue and sharing of ideas across institutions and community stakeholders.
