Hey folks,

Well, it's Friday which brings us to the end of our 5 day explainer video scrum.

It is not however the absolute end. I'll be lurking here tomorrow as I try to finish and post my own final video (yikes) and generally make myself available.

The course itself will remain available to you and if you have any burning questions you can reach out to us (Sylvia and I) at any time.

And...

The fine folks over at CommonCraft are offering a free course on explainer videos called a Teacher's Guide to Creating Common Craft Style Videos in the Classroom.  How cool is that!?

I've taken their masterclass and can say from experience, their courses are really well done!

Ok, signing off for tonight but will be around and will post once more tomorrow afternoon.

Cheers,

jamie

Hello current and future explainers : -)

It's day two and we have a few awesome drafts posted in the Sharing and Feedback forum thread titled 1. Say Hello and Share Your Plan

Please don't stress if you're struggling a bit to answer all the questions or to get through a worksheet. The questions and the worksheets are prompts to get the process rolling so answering in your head is ok. If you can, let us know what your topic is or where you are in the process.

And... if you have some time, nourish your co-learners with some feedback on their drafts.

Say hello here and tell us a bit about yourself.

And....

If you completed one of the worksheets you can post it (or your very strong feelings about this process) to this forum.

Or share the basics:

1. What is you topic? What are you going to explain in your video?

2. Who is your audience? Who are you creating this video for? What are your assumptions about your audience?

3. What do you want them to take away from this video? What is the learning goal or objective?

4. What are the 1 - 3 BIG ideas that you will include in this video?

5. How long will you video be? How many minutes and how many words?
