I am so pleased to be on the Executive of the TLN and to be contributing to and learning from other Teaching and Learning professionals!

I specialize in and could share with others:- program outcomes and mapping processes

- indigenization and interculturization processes for faculty

- instructional feedback mechanisms

I'd like to learn more about:

- fostering creativity in education

- building capacity for critical thinking in students

- nurturing the growth of the student-centred classroom

I look forward to hearing from our other members!

Hi everyone
I had so many helpful responses to my course redesign resources question, and I thought I’d compile and share:
1.  We are just putting finishing touches on a course design institute set to run next week.  The site for the workshop is here (you may find something useful in the resources section): http://cdi.ctlt.ubc.ca/
And you are welcome to anything you like for the session I and Jessica Earle-Meadows are facilitating on Backwards Design – all handouts/materials are linked here as well: http://wiki.ubc.ca/Course:CTLT_Course_Design_Intensive/UbD_Principles/Learning_Plan
2.  NCAT models of course redesign are generic but well tested. Examples in this handout are nice. http://www.thencat.org/R2R/R2R%20PDFs/Six%20Models%20for%20Course%20Redesign.pdf
Also see  www.cwsei.ubc.ca/.../CourseTransformationGuide_CWSEI_CU-SEI.pdf The references at the end of this handbook are good.

3.  The Program Review and Renewal team at Camosun use to run a course and then it was suggested they place online – so they did.  Here’s CETL’s open course – how to design a course.   http://web.camosun.ca/cetl/open-course
4.  Go to the University of Calgary. They have a great resource that you may find helpful.  (eg. http://itsotlcweb01.ucalgary.ca/taylorinstitute/teaching-community/node/227  , )

Many thanks!
