Over the past ten days we have come together as a Community of Practice to discuss and share our work, ideas, and thoughts around portfolios. As our time together in this Community of Practice draws to a close, we would like to invite you to share what your next steps are in your work with and interest in portfolios.

Please take a few moments to reflect on any and all of the following questions and to share your responses with others.

1. What have you learned from your participation in this SCOPE seminar on portfolios?
2. What are your next steps in regards to portfolios?
3. What are some of the unanswered questions that you have about portfolios?

We have been so inspired by the sharing and by your thoughts and idea so far, and we hope you will take some time to share your reflections.

Thank you,
Roselynn

Hi Everyone,

One of the themes that emerged this morning from our one-hour synchronous presentation and discussion on the UBC Portfolio Community of Practice was about getting "buy-in" and motivating students and faculty to use portfolios.

We would love to hear how you are dealing with getting buy-in from students and faculty around portfolio use and have provided some starting discussion questions including:

- How do you encourage buy-in at different levels (student, faculty, staff)?

- What kind of resistance (if any) have you experienced to portfolios?

- What makes portfolios worthwhile for you, your students or your program?

We look forward to hearing your responses!

Thank you,

Roselynn

Hello everyone and welcome to the two-week seminar highlighting the Portfolio Community of Practice at the University of British Columbia (UBC)!

We are looking forward to meeting you, hearing from you, and to exchanging thoughts and ideas on all things related to portfolios, communities of practice, and portfolio communities of practice.

We encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas (don't be shy) and to engage in some wonderful conversations with colleagues from around the world.

Catherine and I will ensure that we respond to the shared thoughts and comments daily, and we look forward to seeing how the next two weeks unfold!

In the spirit of community,
