I don't see anywhere on the site why the name SCoPE was chosen, or the reason for that typographical construction of the word. Does anybody know?

SCoPE, if I dig down into my notes from very early planning meetings, stands for SFU's Community of Practicing Educators. At one point it was ...Practitioners of eLearning or something like that. In any case, the acronym stuck, but the full name has had a few iterations! So why such little emphasis on SFU in SCoPE? We want to make sure this community is presented as open and inviting. While one goal is to identify and build on SFU interests and expertise, we also want to extend the membership internationally.
I hope that little nutshell makes sense.
