What has been learned already?

Hi all,

I am brand new here and brand new at this kind of learning, but a fan of Caren Levine, which brings me here.  So I curious, what resources have been developed to date on the question of evaluating informal learning. Is there an existing body of knowledge? Key researchers and writers? Tools?

My work is facilitating Communities of Practice and its a sticky business trying to assess the learning in a CoP.  So I'm  here to learn and share.

The work and writings of Jay Cross would have to be mentioned here and his content hub Informal Learning Flow. Lots to ponder there!

Welcome, Naava, to the conversation and to this type of learning environment :)

Communities of practice are an incredibly rich source of informal learning, and evaluation is sticky indeed.
