Articles for the ISSOTL Newsletter Needed First Week in October

The International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning is hosting its annual conference in Washington, DC, November 9 – 12, 2006: http://www.indiana.edu/~issotl06/index.html

Nancy Randall has sent out a call for articles to be published in the newsletter that will be published in October and featured at the conference. Nancy is Vice-President (Canada) of ISSOTL. She is particularly looking for stories that feature SOTL initiatives in Canadian institutions. Send your news items asap to: randall@mala.bc.ca

UCIPD Fall Meeting at Douglas College, Monday, Nov. 27 .

Planning is well underway for our fall get-together. The spring gathering at Malaspina University College brought us together for some great sessions in Nanaimo, where Nancy Randall and her team had organized fine weather, fine views and fine food. The day at Douglas promises to be just as enjoyable with a mixture of presentations and time to network. Check the SCoPE site for details and watch for more announcements:

Educational Developers Caucus Conference in February 2007

The call has been sent out for presenters for the 2007 Educational Developers Caucus (EDC) of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE). The conference will take place February 22 – 23, 2006, and is being hosted by the University of Guelph and the University of Waterloo. The theme is Engagement and Educational Development.
