Thank you firstly to Ross and Asif for a well facilitated and organized course. It has been a well of inspiration for me as I navigate moving to online art classes. Class colleagues have provided me with an opportunity to try things out and learn from feedback, it has been a gift. You were warm and encouraging throughout. I finally got the hang of chat and listen in the last group meeting, it turned out to be FUN!
The sessions have really made me think more deeply about tools that could be incorporated into online teaching - for example Mind mapping and Word cloud. Breakout rooms in BlueJeans should work well for my smaller group activities. Audio and video tools could bring lots of texture to the classroom.
Anyone looking for visuals to liven up their presentations I highly recommend the copyright free places like Creative commons and Flickr both fantastic image resources for all kinds of topics.
Best of luck to everyone,
good luck with your classes, Katharine, I'm sure you will have lots to reflect on by the end of it all!
Really appreciate the resources you've shared as well. I have added them to my own list.
Thank you Katherine - it was great to have you in the course! Great note about creative commons licences for images. Another trick I use is to use the "advanced search" function in Google (under settings now) and specify usage rights = free to use or share. I hope you have a great summer of online art classes. I think its time to bring out my sketch book! Ross
