I'd be really interested in reading/ discussing this...I have completed two small research projects in this community so far, one exploring why they choose to participate(case studies), then exploring the roles and responsibilities of the voluntary 'facilitator'(case study)..how they experienced their 'multiple roles' within the community....next year I plan to explore their involvements within multiple 'communities of practice within their first year of teaching- both online, within their schools and within in-service beginning teacher courses (which are available around the country, but optional)...and see what contibution these each make to their continued development as professionals/ / people.. and utlimately how their involvement impacts upon their classroom practice.Should be an interesting year!
