First, thank you for such an interesting topic and an engaging session. Please find my comments outlined below:
*Your enthusiasm and great online video presence set a really inviting tone to your presentation and I felt your enthusiasm. You spoke clearly and your orientation to the camera was great. You looked genuinely happy to be with us and while you stated you were a bit nervous, this was not apparent to me.
*You clearly set up well and understood the implications of the technology you were using. Your instructions on how to use the functions of Zoom were very helpful and you followed up with those of us who needed extra support.
*You welcomed us and informed us that we had a more diverse group than just those enrolled in the FLO course. I found this to be very respectful of our needs as learners to know who we were learning with today.
*I really appreciated the use of the image as an icebreaker. It offered us a way to connect and to share our experience of the image. This helped me understand my co-learners in a deeper, more meaningful way than if we had simply introduced ourselves and stated our place of work. I felt like I was in a community of learners rather than in a meeting.
*Your use of the image to link us to the topic of the session was very skilful. It was creative, set a tone of safety as we'd already used it successfully and it created a context to explore it's meaning in deeper ways as you reflected back to us how we all saw similar and different things and our experience of the image. This link to situational awareness was very powerful for me.
*I think you made good decisions about how to use our time together and how much time to spend on the activities. Again, given that your topic focused on how people/teams function together to achieve a common goal or create a common vision, the time spent getting to know one another was important and as I said earlier, the activity in the introduction set us up very well to move into our understanding about the topic.
*I found your choice of technology to be appropriate and while your plan to use the poll would have been useful practice for you as a facilitator, I didn't feel the loss of it as a learner.
*As you noted, your plans for the session were ambitious. Having said that, you provided us with objectives and then selected what you thought would be the most meaningful learning activity for us. I think this reflects the real-life experience of synchronous online delivery and you supported us very well through that experience.
*You remained positive and enthusiastic throughout the session and you created a learning space that was safe and prompted me to take risks (answer questions, use the technology) as a learner. You kept an eye on the time and you respected both the start and end times for the session. You also gave us cues as we proceeded through the session about what was coming next and the decisions you were making in the moment.
*Thank you, again. I would love to participate in another session facilitated by you.
