I signed up to be a facilitator. I'm wondering if there are any guidelines or a rubric of some kind. If so, where can I find them?
Hi Bri - great question - it took me a little bit of time to find the rubric for some reason. Its called the facilitation session guide and I have now placed it in this "hub" section right underneath the course assessment rubric. Any questions, please let me know. Regards - Ross
I'm trying to wrap my head around the session. Can we present on any topic? What is the average length of a session? Can I present next week or are presentations limited to the week of the 25th? I seem to recall you saying the presentations could be in the evening or at noon, is that correct? Is this information posted somewhere and I've just not found it?
Hi Briana - sorry for the confusion.
Topic: - yes just present on whatever you feel comfortable with - no need to research or create something new (unless you want to)
Average length of session: 15-30 minutes
When - yes you can certainly present next week. That is our next task - scheduling - but the time should work for you. Could be any time of the day - I can attend during the day or evening. Asif is a bit more restricted.
More information - its in the Course Overview. Specifically https://scope.bccampus.ca/mod/book/view.php?id=16465&chapterid=3436
Looking forward to your session Briana. Let me know what I can do to help.
Thanks Ross. I, too, was a bit confused about all that. I have come to realize that I have never actually participated in a true online program, synchronous or asynchronous. Several little 'read the material and answer the questions' type of thing is all. Until I gain some experience with more of platforms available, identifying as a reviewing participant is my best bet. Planning on learning some interesting things, though.
Thank you so much! Now that I've followed your link, I realize that I have already seen the content, but somehow forgot where it was (clearly this has been yet another overwhelming COVID-impacted week!).
