Thank you for your comments. At DC we are still unsure if we will be allowed to have in person skills lab for our students. There are virtual sim programs that we are being encouraged to use. We are also looking at having students come in just for some skills such as chest tube care and trach care so they can put their hands on the equipment. We were told that if we do have in person skills lab, there would be a specific process needed such as access to the sim lab, number of people at a time, where on campus the students can go, etc. The worry is with students attending clinical they are at higher risk of bringing something into the school population.
