Welcome Marika! We are glad you are here. Its great that you have many years experience teaching online in an asynchronous environment. You will find that it is possible to build community in a synchronous environment as well. Sounds like you have lots to apply from your work as well - I often thought synchronous tools are good for removing all kinds of barriers - social, distance and others. Looking forward to having you in the course!
Thanks Ross, and appreciate your experience- and your passion for this work- it comes across this virtual space and welcomed! In teaching online courses, I have listened to the words from cohort members about experiencing less isolation, more safety and more liberation . . .and not sure I fully embodied what they were sharing . . .Did a lot of reflecting and conversing in the past 6 weeks. I feel more ready and open to learning about synchronous online learning to honour and amplify the spectrum of possibilities. And then a friend suggested this course (Gayle Allison) - I was waitlisted- and then here we all are today! Talk about synchronous :)
