I am an adjunct English professor at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC. I am interested in the Open Textbook idea due to the rising costs of textbooks for our students. The idea of a free textbook is intriguing, but as many have already voiced I am worried about the quality of its content and its relevance. The potential is enormous.
