Certainly dying to see this as it will save students a ton of money and we can get away from being dominated by the Math textbook publishers.

We are using Keedy bittenger!!!

I am a math/science instructor in a self paced program at Vancouver community college, Canada.

Hi Chris, I'm fellow faculty at VCC!  I work in the Nursing Program.  We use a lot of texts that are huge, expensive and are not always the latest best practice by the time they are published - so I'm looking forward to finding ways to lighten the financial load on the students while loosening our ties with the big publishing companies.

Suzanne, I wonder if the A&P text we recently put on our site might be helpful for you? You can take a look at it here: http://open.bccampus.ca/find-open-textbooks/?uuid=f4873e49-e09c-469e-9ee8-9f14ca5a4e00&contributor=&keyword=&subject=

It's pretty gigantic, but very recently released so hopefully the content is fairly up to date.

Thanks for posting that Mary. A&P is a prerequisite to our program, but it is offered in our college through another department. I will review it and pass it along though!  Thanks again!\

Hi Chris - I just came across this site https://www.myopenmath.com for some research I'm doing, and thought of you. I'm not sure if it's something you can use, but thought I'd pass it along. It's a site that provides free online math practice which is algorithmically graded.

We also have some math texts on our site for the BC Open Textbook Project at http://open.bccampus.ca/find-open-textbooks/

Hi Chris,

You might want to take a look at some of the Siyavula resources. Siyavula is a project in South Africa focused on upper level (grade 10, 11 & 12) math and science open textbooks & they have released their titles as open textbooks.

Hi Chris,

Jumping in a little late here but there are a couple of resources that you should check out for high school maths if you haven't already.

http://www.ck12.org/

This is a foundation focused on OER for math and science curriculum (K-12) but mostly on middle school and higher.  They started with open textbooks but have branched out to more online support such as tutoring as well.  I know a number of community college faculty that have adapted their open textbooks.

http://www.thenrocproject.org/

The NROC project has focused on middle school, high school, and community college math.  They are a fee-based member consortium but make some of their materials available freely at their hippocampus.org OER repository site.  I know several community colleges who are members of their fee-based consortium and happy with those math materials.

Best Regards,

Una
