Reflections and Next Steps
A rather loose tradition at SCoPE is to set aside some time at the beginning of the academic year to discuss what is working in our community and to propose future activities and formats. What started out as a 5-day event in October turned into a longer and deeper discussion still deserving a comprehensive summary and action plan. It will happen soon!
Orientation to Open Textbooks
21 November, 2012
This webinar, facilitated by Una Daly and Terrie McAloney, marked the beginning of two on-site workshops in British Columbia. Expect more online learning opportunities related to open textbooks in the new year.
CP2 Quarterly Field Trip
6 November, 2012
In this ongoing series of field trips to communities we decided it was time to visit SCoPE! Special thanks to graduate students enrolled in Simon Fraser University's Educational Technology and Learning Design program who joined in with their excellent questions.
12-18 October, 2012
During the 2012 Open Education conferencein Vancouver, delegates were asked to submit open educational resources to be remixed by others. The virtual kick-off provided a nice tour of the various projects.
SCoPE brings together individuals who share an interest in educational research and practice, and offers opportunities for dialogue across disciplines, geographical borders, professions, levels of expertise, and education sectors. Our activities are facilitated by volunteers in the community, and membership is free and open to everyone.
SCoPE members receive these email updates automatically. If you prefer to read MicroSCoPE on the web or via RSS, login and click on 'forum administration'.
