Data warehousing and the application of data marts is a large part of the Business Intelligence arguments. It also requires a lot of work on stewardship and definitions which can be (at the very least) exhausting.
We keep promising to capture all this potential but have not really managed to see much by way of effective implementation. I wonder if it is because it is hard to get the right skill sets and/or temperments working together. What is the alchemy for a successful implementation of analytics?
