I am interested in this course because as an academic librarian we are responsible to bring guides and ideas to the users on how to obtain, collect, analysis and report the data to satisfy the information needs of them. I think that this course will bring me the tools for help the users to get the most advantage in their search for information in all environments, both electronic and physical. Also, the theme of security and privacy is very important for me and I hope to learn more about it.
I am working as a virtual reference librarian at the University of Puerto Rico, Carolina Campus. I am in charge of bring the reference service to students and faculty through chat, email and by phone. Also I am certified as a facilitator in Learning technologies and Online Education.
