As a k-12 teacher looking into how data can inform learning in both live classrooms and online interactive experiences I believe this course will help me solves a few riddles that I have faced and discover new challenges. Through the interactions and far-flung community of learners I believe I will develop and hear many ideas and personal stories as well as research and shared knowledge.
Currently I work ad hoc with a group from Colorado as well as teach a social media course (community - not for credit - a shame really) at the local community college. This month marks the beginning of a student teaching experience at a couple local school I will be doing before trying to move north to the Portland Metro area. I hope to find full time employment as a secondary language arts or science teacher -or even better; both- up there as I continue my education in educational technology, online learning, and hopefully some even greater aspirations within the community.
