Where are you from?
I am from Taiwan but have spent 17 years worked in China and five years in the US. I travel often from city to city.
Why are you interested in this course?
I plan to choose formative/ongoing assessment as the topic of my doctoral thesis and I think Learning Analytics should be relevant.
What has to happen in order for you to consider this course a success?
I would like to understand
-- the theoretical background of LA
-- current research, applications, and implications
-- the technology used
-- the center issues
I am also curious to find out how a connectivist course will be processed.
What else?
I am a doctoral student in distance education at Athabasca University in Canada. In real life, I work as an e-coach in WIDE World program that is developed by Harvard Graduate School of Education and I am also team-teaching two undergraduate-level courses: Copy Editing and Practical Literary Style with a professor at Tainan University, Taiwan. I will be login from Taiwan during the course.
