Nice to meet everyone. I'm an instructional designer for an online learning department at a community college in Colorado.
My interests in this course is trying to make sense out of the large amount of data that we receive from a commercial learning management system (lms). The lms records almost everything that student clicks on but the questions I have concern where and how to start using this data to actually understand the learning that is taking place.
For me to consider this course as success I would need to engage in meaningful conversations that keeps me questioning how to use the data and its meaning.
Also related to this course, I'm currently sitting in an inhouse seminar for faculty research on assessment of student learning.
