Shalom everone, I am Eva Birger from Goethe-Institut in Tel Aviv.
Since Goethe-Institut is the world’s largest provider of German courses, I teach German according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The institutes centrally hosted LMS which is based on moodle does not enjoy great popularity by the Tel Aviv staff. Currently I'm working on an open model using blogs alongside the tutorials. I recognized, that the word-of mouth comments of my students differed from the data of the blogs. Before I'm going to implement new tools I need to better understand what's happening. In my notion, learning analytics should be applied to enhance the learning experience of my learners. Therefore I am very interested in this course and how learning analytics can help me to to manage the process.
Gladly George Siemens and Dave Cormier are offering a new MOOC about this subject.
