Book: How to Set Up an AOD on non LMS Platforms
Designers: If you plan to experiment with platforms other than an LMS discussion thread for your AOD, here are some instructions for setting up your discussion on some of the platforms we experimented with on Day 1.
5. Canva
Setting up an AOD on Canva requires an advanced level of comfort with technology.
Canva would probably not be my first choice in creating a whiteboard discussion. Platforms such as Miro are much more intuitive to use, both as an educator setting up the discussion and as a learner trying to make a post. However, Canva is the only tool that allows users to add sticky notes without asking participants to login. (Note: Miro and other tools have this ability, but only make it available once you subscribe to one of their paid memberships).
