These are some of the assumptions I try to hold when I think about being as flexible, compassionate and student-centred as possible in my teaching. I offer them to you as an invitation for consideration. I feel that every pedagogy is unique - it's a living and developing concept that takes shape in a specific time and place within the relational space of at least two people. Therefore, each educator's approach to teaching is bound to be different. Perhaps not all of these ideas resonate with you, but I'm willing to bet some of them do. You're welcome to take what works for you and leave what doesn't.
